Because, it's almost Monday and who doesn't need an extra push to get out of bed, hmmm?
Let's face it: Mondays are these horrible, TERRIBLE things invented by the corporate world to ruin our Sundays and drag us out of bed at some ungodly hour then it's off to do unpleasant things that simply can't be avoided. Being homeschooled, technically I could just drag out of bed whenever I want (or so one would think) but I have all sorts of craziness beginning at 12:30 Mondays that doesn't seem to stop until 7 or 8 when I get home from work (and it's not much better other days). So anything that needs to get done must be done before about twelve o'clock. Suckage, I know, right?
It's not sooo bad I suppose. I kind of like to get up early-ish and get things done but I HATE (with a burning, fiery passion) getting out of my warm, cozy bed. I have to set my alarm at least thirty minutes ahead of the time I actually want to be awake so I don't press the snooze fifteen million times and sleep too late. Yep. It's kind of pathetic. I used to get up and do yoga and when I do stuff like that I get into a better rhythm and it makes life easier but yeah, that didn't last too long.
So the best part about mornings for me is coffee. I used to think it was this horrible, bitter, grown-up drink and couldn't stand it until my lazy self met 6:30 AM. So I gave this coffee thing a whirl. It saved my butt. I'm definitely NOT a morning person. Just ask some of the people who have to live with me/be around me before about 10 in the morning.
My favorite way to drink coffee at home is black with just a spoon of sugar. We have the most amazing coffee maker that grinds up the beans fresh every morning. Ahhhhh love. Other things that get me out of bed? In the summer I switch out my beloved coffee for cold green tea (I don't drink cold coffee). I also love hot tea. Sometimes if I'm feeling fancy I'll make a latte. (If I remember correctly) you just take some half and half (just a bit, not even a fourth of the coffee cup) and put it in the microwave, dump some chocolate/cocoa in there, mix it up, fill with coffee, stir, enjoy.
And of course Starbucks isn't so bad either but I rarely have it because it is more expensive. My favorite drinks are the White Chocolate Mocha and Chai Frappuchino. yummmm. But we have a new coffee shop here in town that is just so amazing. The atmosphere, the coffee, everything. Plus, I love supporting local artists and businesses whenever possible. If you're in the Eastern NC area, stop by The Coffee Shack.
(coffee photos found on google, not sure of original source but now I wanna go take some kickbutt coffee photos! yeah!)

food: this delicious vegan french toast (new favorite breakfast recipe. seriously amazing. AMAZING.)
these crepes are pretty awesome too (we had ours with strawberries and cool whip. yumm)
(both of those recipes could most definitely get me out of bed in the morning and are pretty easy and simple to make :D)
inspiring quote of the week:
"I know that I have to make a choice, regret it or not. I choose to be alone. I choose to jump face-first, to not just kick back and enjoy the ride. I choose neither my future nor my past, but my present, my now." - Dakota Skye
(speaking of choosing and decisions, I think I've finally made mine. but shhhh it's a secret ;)
basically, I choose to be truly alive. I choose to make my own choice. I choose to forge my own path rather than follow someone else's. I choose to stay true to myself and take control of my own life. I choose to do what I love, not what makes the big bucks. and I choose to live in my now. nothing else matters.)
good music:
(yes, I do like Lady Googoo. . .done right ;) )
(this song is kind of amazing, non?)
goals for the week:
actually edit all the photos I took this weekend and get them up for all to see.
do my French homework BEFORE the French tutor arrives
memorize my broadway jazz script
set dates for some of these shoot I have in mind
write something and work toward getting it published
finish learning a song on guitar
not complain about going to work (after all, I do get paid)
MAKE SOME SCRABBLE COOKIES! YUUSSSSSS!!
haha. well. I think that's enough for now. ;)
wish me luck!
sooo, have something to say?
do you drink coffee? what's your favorite way to drink it? what gets you out of bed each morning?
what are your goals for the week?
go on, I'm curious! XD

I despise coffee. I can't stand the taste of it. I do, however, enjoy McDonald's Mocha Frappes, and a Cinnamon Roll Latte from the Java City on campus. To wake up though, I enjoy nothing better than a S'mores Poptart. That, my friend, is true love. In the winter I have been known to take a thermos of hot chocolate with me.
Broadway jazz....I should probably get crackin' on that too. And you know I'm up for modeling anytime you'd like!
