monday inspiration: change is good

I have a love-hate relationship with change.
I think everybody needs change.
I desperately need change.

and these shoes.

in fact, I am going to change. over the next few weeks I plan on cutting my hair (somewhat drastically, or at least from what I have now. but it will not be short. no worries), dying it (you'll just have to wait and see), rearranging my room, possibly painting a mural on my wall and reflooring the floor (I hate carpet), and buying more dresses. I love dresses. I can't help myself.

the photographer who took this (Linnea Jacobsen) is only 13. friggen 13. amazing. turn if off

I will also try to change my attitude. mostly about school. I have a serious case of senioritis. I should have taken classes at my community college to keep me on track. just doing French and optional random stuff apparently doesn't work for me this year. but no worries, I will be taking classes next semester, it's just a matter of where and what. . . .

haha. I love French movies. (une femme est une femme/a woman is a woman)

and I need to get back into a serious yoga/pilates/stretching routine. I have seriously fallen off that. and it's not doing anything for me behind.

me and Kimi are working on a new blog banner too. (did you notice the redesign? I'm liking it much better.)

yep, another photo shoot in the rain. coming soon. I love rain.

and a not so new change, I will not be eating meat. I'm still not calling myself a vegetarian (I have commitment issues.) but I am off on a meat-free adventure! so I am trying new things (tofu! anyone have any good recipes?) and trying to have self-control and find meatless meals at restaurants and such (I think that's the hardest part). it's not too drastic a change though. my brother Alex has been a vegetarian since last summer and our family just doesn't eat that much meat. but some things will be hard. . .like sesame chicken. . .and sweet and sour chicken. . .and such. so if you have any words of wisdom/recipes/and such, I'd love to hear them.

I'm about to read this book. because it looks interesting. and I love Jonathan Safran Foer. we'll see how it goes. hopefully it's a true exploration of our eating traditions. I don't like biased books.

just no derogatory comments please (believe it or not, I've heard enough of the god put animals on the earth for us to eat, don't you want a cheese burger, but where do you get your protein, oh you watched that PETA propaganda, animals aren't people and the like. I may or may not post on this in the near or distant future. yes? no? questions?) basically, if you have nothing encouraging to say, don't say it. ;)

I need to read more. I should add that to the list.

I found a five in one collection of this series on sale today. ridiculously excited. some of my favorite books ever. so very quotable.

so those are the changes I will be making.
what changes will you be making?

I have too many books to read. I am going to go read them now.

updated:
