good times, good people

tap II (minus jasmine, during tap I)

we had dress rehearsal in broadway jazz. crazy stuff. I didn't get a lot of pictures because there was too much dancing going on but I did get a few. (Ms. Heather took the group shots) I also figured since you see them so often, you should guys should get a proper introduction.
blog readers, meet my dance class! the incredibly talented and beautiful group of girls I get to spend time with every Thursday night :)

this is Kaylee and Megan. they are sisters and in many ways, complete opposites. both incredibly talented dancers and crazy. (the best kind of people to have in your life)
Kaylee is my amazing tap teacher. she is always so animated and says the craziest things but she just doesn't care. she always puts herself out there and doesn't care if she falls or sings off key or if you don't like it. she inspires me every week and is always takes the extra time to help me get stuff right (cause trust me, I always need extra help. haha.)
Megan is my piano student, french buddy, my photography's biggest fan, and she probably has nightmares about doing school at our house every monday, haha. she always makes me laugh and is full of ideas (just wait till you see this photo shoot we're planning) and not afraid of anything (except maybe french and math?)

this is Kelley. she helps me out a lot in tap and broadway jazz and is my choreography show duet partner! she's so random and crazy and sweet and never fails to make me smile. (no kidding, the other day I was not having the greatest day at all and before I could get through the studio door she said "Lindsay! Guess what?? I had an orange today!" and she was so excited about it, it sort of made my day. and it's like that every week.)

in the white shirt beside Kaylee we have Taylor W! she's kind of the baby in our class but when the music comes on, you can't tell. we sorta stick together through the dance and "chit chat" over coffee. we're also beastly cup tossers. oh yes, can't beat us when it comes to mug tossing skills! :D

(gosh, I'm so awkward) in the center, orange shirt is Jasmine! she's kind of amazing. she taps, dances, and twirls and is incredibly flexible. (seriously, I'm jealous. I've been working so hard just to get down to a split, hehe)

(oh, megan) I feel like I'm getting repetitive here, but Ellen is an amazing dancer/twirler and again, super helpful (I told you I need a lot of help haha!) the other day I came in to the studio to work on my doubles and tuck jumps etc because I'm always really behind the rest of the class and she was really patient and encouraging and my turns are getting there! occasionally I can do a full two turns without falling and most of the time I'm getting a solid 1 1/2 haha.

I also just wanted to announce that after a full year of dancing at this studio, I am finally officially a stars! dancer. up until last monday night, I was the only one who had never fallen down. well, I finally fell. on my butt. doing my double. they all clapped. hehehe.
